PROFESSIONAL ENGAGEMENT & IMPACT

Advancing AI Education through the Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology (FAST)

I design and implement evaluation methodologies for Generation AI, a nationwide initiative preparing Armenia’s next generation to lead in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. Recognized by UNESCO, the program integrates advanced mathematics, computer science, and digital literacy into Armenia’s standard curriculum, from high school through doctoral levels. It is free of charge and supported by a broad donor network. In 2025-26, the pilot phase reached 23 high schools nationwide, with expansion to 45 schools planned by 2026.

Strengthening Research Communities through Mentorship & Seminars

I actively foster academic networks and support early-career economists through mentorship, seminar organization, and community-building initiatives. My contributions include:

• Co-organizing ARab Economists in Europe and North America (AReena) and PhD-Economics Virtual Seminars (PhD-EVS), connecting researchers across continents.

• Serving as a Rice Graduate Student Ambassadors, mentoring prospective and incoming graduate students.

• Supporting the Women in Economics Club Network, creating peer-support and professional development opportunities.
